How it works?
The Legal Apprentice Program is regulated by the Law 10.097/2000 and is formalized in companies through a employment contract that can last up to 2 years.
While the person who is an apprentice carries out his activities in the company, professional courses are also offered that complement his training, for theoretical and practical learning.
The workload varies between 4 to 6 hours per day worked, so that it does not disturb the progress of school activities, but there are cases in which it is allowed to work 8 hours a day.
The project participant must also be enrolled and regularly attending school, if not yet graduated.

How much does a young apprentice earn?
O wage average for a Young Apprentice is between R$ 440.19 and R$ 880.38, but it may vary according to the company, not necessarily within this salary range.
The remuneration of the Young Apprentice uses the minimum wage as the calculation basis. In addition, the values also vary according to the hours worked.
Is a young apprentice entitled to unemployment insurance?
Yes, the Young Apprentice is entitled to unemployment insurance, but only in certain cases. When the apprentice is dismissed for just cause, reaches the maximum age established by the program, the contract reaches the 2-year limit or when there is insufficient performance, he is not entitled to the benefit.
When there is a termination for other reasons not mentioned above — the company goes bankrupt, for example —, he is entitled to unemployment insurance and can apply for the benefit.
The registration of the Young Apprentice is done in the Work Card (CLT) and he is also entitled to the hourly minimum wage, transportation voucher, vacation, 13th salary and guarantee fund for length of service (FGTS). Other benefits can be added, according to the organization.
