Correios services have reduced delivery times throughout Brazil, with the aim of meeting the demands of online stores, medium and small companies located in regions far from large urban centers.
Correios also reduced the value of Sedex and PAC shipping fees for customers who have a contract. The reduction in delivery times has undergone changes, focusing mainly on smaller cities, as a way of contributing to the “internalization of Brazilian e-commerce”.
Several places in Brazil benefited, for large and small cities.
Some examples would be between Brasília and Rio de Janeiro (RJ), where the deadline was just two days for delivery, as well as from São Paulo (SP) to Salvador (BA), Sorocaba (SP) to Rio de Janeiro (RJ) between several other destinations.
This reduction affected more than 10 thousand routes, both national and international. The costs of sending orders through Sedex and PAC were also lower, with a drop of up to 38%.
See some examples of values:
- Barreiras (BA) to Caxias (RS), where the drop was 16% via Sedex;
- Florianópolis (SC) to Manaus (AM), where the drop was 30% via Sedex;
- Criciúma (SC) to Juazeiro do Norte (CE), where the drop was 38% via PAC;
- Curitiba (PR) to Fortaleza (CE), where the drop was 17% via PAC.
Correios informed that this reduction is only for customers who have a contract and specific conditions to be verified as commercial representatives, unfortunately not everyone will have their values reduced at the agencies.
