Pix via WhatsApp went into operation in Brazil. The service is available through a Whatsapp account and was the first to offer transfers and payments via messaging in the country since 2018.
Authorization by the central bank for fintech to operate via pix via WhatsApp occurred last week.
What is Pix payment?
Pix is a new quick payment method created by the Central Bank, which will be a new payment option alongside TED, DOC and cards for people and companies to transfer amounts, make or receive payments.
With Pix, people and companies will be able to carry out these transactions, which can take up to seconds, using only cell phone applications.
To use this service, simply save the number in the WhatsApp (11 4502-4494) in your calendar and start a conversation with them via WhatsApp, you will enter the pix key of the person or company that will receive the payment, in addition to the amount.
